I would NEVER imagined that I’d be a ‘teacher’ – I was such a mischievous student, so I had not plans on becoming one for fear of karma repercussions. Yet here I am.

Today, I scrolled through my Facebook page. It’s been awhile since I had opened my personal page.
But today? I’m grateful that I decided to check in, as there was a reminder me that it has been exactly a year since I wrote this post:

“I have been asked to provide trainings, was invited twice as a TEDxTalks speaker and have delivered many sessions on media handling and public speaking – but it was during the pandemic that I decided to get serious about my next career move. So I took a train the trainer course and started preparing my modules.
The modules are personalised for each client and their expectations – so even though I have a generic set, I still need time to prepare a specific deck for each client.
I take pride in doing so.
It’s been a great journey so far and I enjoy the process of growing and learning with my participants.
Alhamdullilah“
All trainers who wish to conduct training under the various Human Resources Development Corp or HRD Corp schemes, (claimable training programmes) must be HRD Corp Accredited Trainer. So I got that done a few weeks later.

The next step was to register as a Training Provider. In general, HRD Corp registered employers are allowed to make claims by attending trainings conducted by HRD Corp Registered Training Providers.
So what does that mean for me and my current/ future clients?
As a registered HRD Corp Training Provider,
- Companies who are levy contributors to the HRD Corp can use the funds allocated to send their employees for my workshops and trainings (ability to obtain reimbursement for their training fees from HRD Corp)
- There are opportunities to partner with HRD Corp’s preferred vendors in implementing various training schemes.
Here are the courses that I have registered under HRD Corp:
- Public Speaking & Communication Mastery
- Media Handling and Crisis Communication for Corporate Leaders
I am planning to add onto one more workshop on Emceeing. Since I get that question asked a lot of times. Drop me a message if you are keen to know more about my courses.
